40 for 40: Our Childline Fundraiser & Camper Challenge
Helping raise £10,000 for Childline (part of the NSPCC) — with a van build, a big adventure, and a community effort.
Why we’re doing this
This year marks the 40th anniversary of Childline — and it also happens to be the year we’re turning 40 too. We wanted to do something meaningful to support a service that is there for children and young people when they need someone to talk to most.
Childline is a free, confidential service for under 19s, offering support, advice, and a listening ear. Children reach out for many reasons — from bullying and mental health struggles, to family problems and feeling alone.
One fact that really hit us: on average, a child contacts Childline every 45 seconds.
The challenge
We’re buying (or building) a campervan and getting it ready for proper adventures — then taking on a UK → Nürburgring → UK run in 72 hours, living in the van the whole way.
- Build series: turning the van into a usable, adventure-ready camper
- The run: drive to Germany, complete one lap of the Nürburgring, and return to the UK inside 72 hours
- The finale: the completed camper will be raffled to help maximise funds raised for Childline
(We’ll share updates throughout the build and challenge so everyone can follow along.)
